Removing Old Bumper Letter Inserts

Could anyone tell me the best method for removing old "COBRA" bumper letter inserts? The ones I have on the car are faded and cracking so I would like to replace them.

Do you have the stainless steel ones? Fishing line and 3M adhesive remover should do the trick. I used the one in the pic below;

maybe a heat gun and you can peel em off/fish line. DONT use the heat gun with the adhesive remover at the same time !!!

I just used adhesive remover on mine and peeled it. I gave the remover some time to soak in and work

Hair Dryer if you don't have a Heat Gun...No need to put chemicals on the paint.

99% alcohol from valleyvet. Everyone should have this for adhesive removal.

Oh yeah I have it around because I play pro hockey and use it to prevent staph

It is safe on paint, but it will remove any wax.

You can also spray WD-40 for removing the adhesive, and it is also safe on paint. A Bodyshop man told me about that one for vinyl letters (like the car dealership ad.

Thank you again for the advice. I used a hair dryer today to remove the old decals. Worked very well!
