Do you have the stainless steel ones? Fishing line and 3M adhesive remover should do the trick. I used the one in the pic below;

I just used adhesive remover on mine and peeled it. I gave the remover some time to soak in and work

99% alcohol from valleyvet. Everyone should have this for adhesive removal.

Oh yeah I have it around because I play pro hockey and use it to prevent staph

Thanks guys. I will pick-up some 3M Adhesive Remover. How corrosive is it around paint?
It is safe on paint, but it will remove any wax.

You can also spray WD-40 for removing the adhesive, and it is also safe on paint. A Bodyshop man told me about that one for vinyl letters (like the car dealership ad.
