Anyone have an idea on the best way to take off the deck emblem on the car?
Replacing and SVT emblem with an SVT COBRA emblem. Don't want to damage any paint.
Try using a really thin plastic card like a credit card only thinner. Use a slight sawing motion and it will come off like butter, then you can rub off the adhesive with your finger and you shouldnt even able to tell the emblem was ever there.
I work for a car manufactuer and we are in charge of putting on accessories and such, We put on the gold packages. What we do is use masking tape and tape all around the emblem and then use a nylon tool to basicly pick the emblem off. It never hurts the paint. I personally pulled my dealer emblem of with normal twine, it didnt scratch at all. Make sure you pull it off flat and dont pick up on one side because the corners of the emblem will scratch the paint.
