Lol I took advantage of the black Friday sale to get my gt350 manifold from MMR, which is sort of what created my clutch issues to begin with!I hear ya about the money, StalkerStang. I got lucky and bought it when Beefcake did a 20% off sale right before Xmas.
Its a pressure plate anomaly. The pressure plate pushes back on the the throw-out bearing at high rpms, which forces the fluid back to the reservoir. You can tell this if your reservoir level is high, it will spill out on your frame/inner fender area(and eats your paint, it got me). Change that shitty clutch and flywheel out first thing. I did, and my MT82 shifts like butter at 8K. Springs, high flow lines, dual reservoirs, none of those band aids will fix the pressure plate. That is the first thing I did back in 13 and it made the car much more enjoyable.
All day at 8K..... WOW!I have the Exedy Mach 500 and lightened flywheel on my Boss 302 as I plan to stay NA. I shift at 8000 all day and it has no issues. Good, inexpensive upgrade. Pedal is barely harder than stock.
I just spent a couple of hours driving my Boss with the new RST and maybe I am lucky but it is very quiet. Very, very slight noise in neutral with clutch out but otherwise nothing. The shuddering that it did when brand new has diminished to almost nothing now after a few hundred city miles and hopefully it will completely go away.
No matter what clutch you go with, if it solves the high rpm lockout issue, the car becomes so much more enjoyable to drive. These things really are special cars.
