my letters were starting to peel so i'm trying to replace them, but is there a trick to getting the old ones off? i've been just picking at it but its taking forever and its leaving all the glue behind. someone said i should try heat but that feels like it be the opposite of what i should do. is there like a special spray or something i could get to make it easier?

I heard of people using a high pressure spray gun like at a self serv car wash to get them off. and for the residue goo gone works great and is safe on paint.

Sounds crazy, but try mayo. The oils in mayo loosen the glue. I've never tried it on bumper letters, but I have tried it on an old school sticker on my back window, and it works pretty good.

Use a hair dryer to soften it up and they should peel off. A body shop owner told me to use WD-40 for the residue. This worked great on the vinyl stickers the dealer use for their logo.
