I put the Powerstop front and rear brake kit on my 2014 GT about 3-4 months ago. The front pads make so much noise that I’m ready to buy new ones and throw this Powerstop junk in the trash (it’s what I get for being cheap...)

Anyway, my question is do I need to resurface the front rotors if I put new pads on, even if they’ve only been on for a few months? Or is it okay to just put new pads on and call it a day?

If you change pad compounds you should resurface the rotors to give the new pads a chance to bed properly
If they are drilled you cannot resurface them
