So I'm going to be replacing the belt on my stock Eaton with a new Gatorback or a Gates, but I just wanted to confirm that I'm calculating the length correctly.

I'm going off of Cobra Bob's chart.
I've got a stock caged crank pulley, 2.76 upper, and an auxiliary idler.
Based on this and the chart, I'm thinking I'd be looking at this...
73.5" belt + 1" for the aux snub idler = 74.5" total

Included a picture so you can see the auxiliary idler that's on the car.

Nobody?
I believe the alternator and all the other idler pulleys are factory size.
Some are still the OEM idler pulleys which I need to replace yet. I think all that's changed as far as size is the 2.76 upper and the addition of the snub idler.

Just read the part number on the belt you have (looks like it is still legible). If you don't know how to figure out the size post it here and I'll tell you.

lol Good call...
I'll try to read it off there later today, but the belt is definitely getting old. Might be tough to see. It's a Gatorback currently.

Correct. 74.5" is the correct belt length for your setup.

Technically it should be a 75" belt. Everyone forgets to add .5" from changing from stock 90mm to 100mm (snub)

The stock setup doesn't have a snub (aux) idler though, correct?
I see on the chart it says to add 1" when using a Metco auxiliary idler, then at the bottom it says add .5" when going from a 90 to 100 mm idler.
Are you saying the Metco auxiliary idler is only 90 mm, so I need to add another .5" because I'm running a 100 mm snub idler?
I'm a little confused now.

Correct!

But Gates & Conti. don't make a 75", only 76". So hopefully 74.5" won't cause any issues

Seems like I see a lot of people running the Gates green, I would think some of them must have the same setup I do. It's basically the simplest pulley change you can have the way it sits. I need to buy a set and replace a few of the OEM idlers.
