Well I went to the track with the Mystic ( mods in sig MINUS the 410 gear, not installed yet) I ran 13.81 @ 103. The kicker is I ran that with cat-back and x pipe. Since then I added JLT CAI, SCT tuner, and Steeda U/P and somehow I gained nothing? I thought maybe the IMRC were stuck so I zip tied them open and it ran the same mph and time. Are my stock gears killing me THAT much??? I thought if anything I would have been around 105-106mph? I'm power shifting also..60 was 2.1 on street tires. I'm about to give up on the car guys help!!

You're saying the 75 shot didn't net you anything...?

I think the OP is meaning the CAI, SCT tune and some u/p did nothing for the car after bolting them up. So, I am reading this post as a disappointment with N/A runs at the track with no juice.

Your 18's are killing you the MOST! And then put some 4.30's in it, and seat time.

My old 98 3450lbs with me in it, et radials, and a 1.6x 60ft. With a 75 shot, ran 11.9 at 117, and then 12.9 at 106 with the 4.30s

i ran 13.8 -13.9 at 102 mph in my 96 cobra, mods being off road x, flows, and shifter. my 60fts where not any better then yours really. i race another 96 cobra at the track that had 430s, exhuast, cold air, and maby a tune both times we race he ran around 14.6. so if that gives you any idea.. this was in north carolina by the ocean.

LOL that guy couldn't drive, or just roasted the tires at the line...

430's would do nothing but help a NA 4v out... What were his mph's out the back door, and 60ft?

With my 373's I ran a 13.1 at 107 and with the 430's i ran a 12.9x at 106 mph every time. This was at Gateway, in STL. Had rear baseline suspension to get the 1.6x short time. I do not lik 410s at the track for these cars. the 373's you ran out 3rd gear, finished right before redline, and then 430's you hit 4th at the 900-1000ft so you can power through the line still.

OP, seat time, ditch the 18's.... the 18's probably have half a second in them for rotating weight. A ET radial + a prostar will get you there. Keep at it!

I'm going to keep the 18's because this car will never be a "race car" justa quick everyday driver. I got some 315/35/17 BFG drags from a buddy, I'm just looking for wheels to mount them on.

With my stock 3:27s I'm running through the traps at 6100ish in third gear. 4:10's coming soon. If I can run in the 13.0-13.2 range on the motor I will be content with that.

Good run man, looks like you are shifting pretty slow too? Your sig says 200k tranny so I'm guessing that's why lol. With a 1.99 60 I'd be about right about where you are I think. I'm going back with 4:10s and hopefully I can grab some rims for these 315 drags I got!

UPDATE: Hit the track last night with the 410s installed. Best pass was 13.61 @105.02 with a 2.161 60ft on the motor. I sprayed it twice and there was NO traction at at all. 13.81 @ 110mph LOL. The gears were a drastic change and the car runs very strong now. I have some 315 BFG drags I just have to get some wheels for them. I know with drag radials I can get it to run in 13.0-13.2 range on the motor, and mid 12s on the spray.
