I know that once you delete you SAI car runs in open loop ( bypassing o2 readings ). Does it do so continuously or for the first 14 minutes ( untill the SAI is turned off )?

where did you hear that? the SAI has nothing to do with OL. turning off your evap canister the wrong way can effect OL, but not SAI. Anytime you crank the car it's in OL and remain there until you tell it to go to CL in the tune. stock settings are around 15 sec I believe. you are also in OL at WOT or anything over 555 maf ad counts, unless you're running the new Holley efi system and you can run CL at WOT.
So in other words besides a CEL turning of SAI via a tune is unneeded.

correct- and I would assume you deleted your egr as well since it is associated with the SAI?
Yes EGR is deleted along with a tune.
