One of my buddies has a '01 GT auto, w/ X-pipe, flowmaster 3 chamber cat-back, FRPP T/B and C&L MAF......
He wants a little more power so here's the question?

A Saleen Power Flash computer???
Or a Custom "burned"chip?

I am figuring a chip its a lot cheaper, but I would like the pro's and con's of both..........

Thanks,

Tests have shown that the powerflash will not beat the gain from a comparable chip.

Chip is easier....can be removed. Powerflash is the entire CPU.

I like the chip, personally. Just my .02

I have a superchip from the guys at JDM currently in my GT. As Dan mentioned it is much easier to work on, simply clean it off and pop it into the computer. Personally speaking the performance has been unreal, when my automatic shifts it is a shorter stroke causing the gears to wind out to their fullest potential. It is "almost" like having a 5 speed
Also, the chip was a lot cheaper if price is what you are concerned about........hope this helps?!

A single-stage DiabloChip dyno-tuned (NOT pre-programmed) to your modifications will do the job.
