Saleen S281E brakes…WOW

A friend of mine had a saleen at his shop a few days ago. I got to snap a few pics of the brakes. They were huge. The exterior shots that I got are way out of focus. F#$%&@ camera :cuss: The owner said it was a S281E supercharged. This was the first s-281e that I have seen in person and it looked sweet. Does anyone know the production #’s on these? I have always liked the looks of the saleen and with 550 horsepower I would be happy with the performance. :burnout:

It's 425 and 445 torque. Ijust got some bear rotors their slotted and drilled,but those calipers are huge!

They are only 4 Pistion Brembos. Check out Brembo's 6 pistion calipers.

its at saleen's site...and I own one
with a tune and a 2.81 pulley i was at 515

they've made 100 of them
and 10% were destroyed in the first 3 wks of production due to people racing them and not knowing how to handle it...

I was just wondering how many were made... just the 2000 model... I know there was 250 made in 95...

and around how much would one go for right now?

Cobra R's are atleast 50 grand now. Most are at 55 or above. I want one. But I would have the kenne bell it. I think I could do that.

i've those on my car, cost me 500 on ebay used, the whole front kit, its bad a$$ compared to the stock 99 cobra brakes, hugeeeeeeeeee difference.
