Just to make sure I'm properly tracking how to globally pull spark 4-5 degrees, I open Global Spark Multiplier and put in -4, correct? I've read something that made me second guess this and I want to make sure. Thanks!!
The global spark MULTIPLIER will take whatever spark is calculated (lets say 40 degrees) and MULTIPLY it by -4.
40 * -4== -160 degrees of timing so youll butt up against the minimum spark clip usually -20 degrees or so.
The global spark ADDER is the scalar you would set to -4 to remove 4 degrees.
However thats a very inefficient and ignorant thing to do. Instead just go command 4 degrees less timing where you want 4 degrees less timing in the spark table(s).
Thanks Decipha! I was following along the steps in Don Lasota book and it recommended pulling 4-5 degrees of spark globally during WOT tuning just to be safe while reconfiguring the base fuel table.
