sct no communication..

Just bought a new laptop with windows 8 and I can't seem to get the damn thing to recognize my programmer. Tried to "automatically" search for drivers, no luck. Went to the SCT flash website but the "view solution" to manually install drivers does not load (hasn't for a week now). I emailed SCT, nothing back yet.

Any ideas?

Do you use chrome by chance on the laptop. I could remote in via browser and get you up and running most likely up to you. I finally figured out a way to get it to play nice with win8 and win 8.1.

You tried right clicking on it and updating driver? I had to uninstall all the sct stuff, download the latest device update software from 3/18/2014 and run it. After it installed I was then able to go to device manager and right click the sct device and update via windows and it did the rest. After that was done I then installed sct livewire and when it gets to the drivers part just hit cancel.
