SCT X4 Error Code 11020

So I picked up an X4 and when I try to connect to load my tune I get the 11020 error code "Unable to read vehicle information". I know its not my car as my X3 works just fine. I also had my cousin use his snap on reader and it worked fine as well. I've seen a few posts on this but no resolution. Any ideas?

It is possible that it needs a firmware update using their Device Updater.

I already did that but I'll double check to make sure it was updated properly. Thanks
