Has anyone here pulled an error code p1518? Well from what I can see when I crack the throttle the actuator(sits on top of the front valve cover) isn't pulling the cable to open the secondary butterflies. I pulled the upper manifold off and cleaned the runners, the butterflies were not stuck nor was the cable. Ford quoted me 80.00 for a replacement actuator and I was wondering if anyone else here has had this problem(that problem being the actuator)?

Yeah I wasnt sure If many people had been having problems with the imrc's. Do those actuators crap out on a regular basis? I guess I really can't complain b/c my '98 has almost 77000mi on it and asides from finding two of my ngk plat. +4's nearly fouled out and a ton of deposits built up on the runner walls I really havn't had any problems.

P1518 is "STUCK OPEN"

You only get that if you pin them open or the cable is broken (or disconnected seeing as you just took the manifolds off???)
