Self bulit IRS?

If i wanted to put a irs in a gt or mach would it be possible to build it from scratch using aftermarket and factory ford parts. Is it cheaper buy one out of a cobra or build one?

much easier, and cheaper to buy a complete pullout from a '99-'04 Cobra. It would cost several thousand to do it aftermarket.
