When you are selling your car privately The bank you have the loan with needs it to be paid for before you can get the title. There a way you can get the title for the person that wants to buy the car? Other then paying the car off?

i don't think so..you can get a copy of the title nad fax it to whomever wants to buy the car, but the legal title is still held by the bank that needs to be paid off in order for them to release it.

Sold my mach 1 to a guy. We went to the the bank and he handed them a check. They mailed him the title.
