I just got back from having a great time on the best cruises yet in this series...gotta wash off the road grime and get rid of the exhaust smell from my clothing, hazards of driving a convertable. I was the one in the DSG Cobra 'vert.........no, the other one, turns out there were two of us...Good times and good people, can't wait to do it again...we usually have them once a quarter, but this puts at the end of December...We could short cycle the next one and do maybe early December, or wait ALLLLL the way until January...What does everyone think? Maybe I'll post a survey... I am enjoying a beer right now reflecting on the day...all eight hours and 230 miles of it!!! Take care...

I got a ticket on the 101 and got seperated from the rest of the cruise. I was doing about 95 trying to catch up after stopping at the gas station (I know, I'm an idiot for not filling up beforehand) right before the freeway entrance. I saw the back of the caravan, hit the gas even harder, and BAM, cop gets me clean. He saw my Detroit Police cap and gave me a 10 over ticket which ain't too bad considering I was doing 30 above. Anybody else get busted?

I almost didn't make it. My car sure didn't. This morning as I was leaving the Valley, my clutch cable busted. So I flat bedded home and grabbed the wife's car. Then met the crowd an Chillis still in time to have lunch.

After lunch I BS'd with a few people. Picked up the clutch cable. Was back in action by 7pm tonight. About 8hrs too late.

It was good to see you all again. I am ready for the next one.

 DSG ftw  nice seeing my car's twin!

And Photon: that sucks about the ticket, man. I saw you pull off just ahead of me and thought you're gonna have a hell of a time catching up.

Tons of cars, Tons of people! I only got to meet a few though. Cruise was tons of fun and absolutely gorgeous! Our lunch took FOREVER! Once we got outside, there was little to no time to talk cars. Kinda bummed :(

Anyways, here's some PICS (Sorry for the lack of pics on the actual cruise. I needed to pay attention to the road as skinnies and curves aren't good friends...)

And my co-pilot Nick took a ton of videos with Ron's (RON01CBRA) camera while we were driving. Hopefully they came out okay...

See you guys next time!

It was well worth ditching the wife and the other two corvette venues. The fun factor was definitely up there with last years.

Crusie was fun. I was bummed because I had a video camera set up in my car with a tripod, and we tested it out the night before. It filmed beautifully, didn't jerk at all or bounce, didn't even fall on hard turns. However, the morning of the cruise, when I plugged the video camera in, the inverter was not getting power to the camera  SO that was a bummer:cuss:. It was still set up throughout the cruise, just with no video camera on it. I have a bunch of still shots at Chilis that I will upload shortly:pop:.

Overall, for my first cruise, it kicked ass. I can deffinately say that I am already excited for the next one. I will make sure that my camera works for the next cruise as well. The weather was amazing, PCH looked so sick driving next to the ocean. I may not have the most powerful car:)bowdown:Mistifi ) but I wasn't the slowest either. Deffinately a great cruise, was managed well also and there was a great turnout. But I think Chili's may not be the spot for next year:eek:

First of all.....Thanks to all of those who came and participated! Its always a pleasure to see fellow Mustang enthusiasts together in one place. There were alot of sweet rides out there. I want to especially thank, Edgar, Paul and Joe of The Stable Productions as usual for being the cornerstone to these events. These would not be as enjoyable without all of the hard work that they put into it ( trust me setting these things up is not easy ). I'm sure that they will come up with another awesome video too to boot.

I would like to see Santa Barbara as an annual cruise. I don't think we will be back at Chilis again though. Got some flak from the center's manager about us being strewn outside of the designated spots:shrug: . I think this is total BS:bs: ! The fact of the matter is that we would have been there regardless and been even more strewn out if I hadn't arranged for spots. So I think next year we will be taking our business elsewhere! I had the thought of cruising to the Chumash Indian Casino off of 154 ( we passed that on the after lunch drive ) That way we all can get a buffet lunch in and do some gambling too!!! Just gotta make sure you are all over 21....I wasn't sure if everyone who attended was:rollseyes

Anyway. Great cruise! Looking forward to the next one! Hopefully sooner than later!

Ciao
