Brought the Fox to the track recently and while attempting to hit 4th I was locked out. Drives fine normally, but under pressure it just wouldn't go into gear. What would cause this?

That's the direction I was leaning, but wouldn't that also cause similar issues when driving normally?

If it's just 4th gear, it could be the blocker ring or the dog teeth on 4th gear itself. Either that or the 3-4 synchro slide. The bad part is 4th is the input shaft so it costs more to fix. The good is you don't have to break a t5 down completely to fix.

EDIT: Unless it is the 3-4 slide. Then the mainshaft is poppin out.

usually you wont have problems shifting while driving normal because its not spining as fast and alows the sycro to line up properly. a T-5 rebuild doesnt cost a bunch usually and if you want to find some good parts at a decent price look up thegearbox.com I talk with them on the phone and they are really knowledgeable. or if you feel like spending some coin go with a TKO trans they are awesome. keep us updated about what you do
