Does anyone have any information or advise on how to get the SK off. Purchased a new one from SpeedDawg but can't budge the old one. Tried heat and strap wrench and got it to turn about 1/4-1/2" to the passenger side.:mj:

I used just a strap wrench set that I got a Autozone. Didnt not have to use heat. Used both small and large one to get the Silver piece off of OE shifter.

Well did not have time to get back on but finally got the knob off yesterday. Needed to heat a few times to loosen plus a lot of elbow grease. The strap wrench (2) of them did not work for me. It had red lock-tite caked on the threads and ball. Ran a die over the threads to clean before mounting the new knob. I did not use any lock-tight on the new set-up.
