I quit my job in August to start college, and quickly realized that this is a no-no with an SHO.

One of the pins in my rear right caliper (the ones that allow play) had seized up, and wore my inner pad to the point that once day I was backing out of the garage and it popped out and lodged between the caliper and rotor. This put my SHO out of commission until I could get the money to fix it. On top of that I have an axle shaft seal leak on the passenger side axle, and I have negative camber up front which wore my tires badly on the inside. So I finally got a job for the same company I used to work for (pulling car parts), and got new rear rotors and pads for Christmas... Yay! I had the rear brakes done by the day after Christmas, but my Dad doesn't want me to drive the car until I get my camber and alignment fixed, get new tires, and get my axle shaft seal fixed.

So with all this time I've had without my SHO (driving my old escort :bored: ), and the realization that it's gonna take a while to save up for everything I've made some plans... Since I have to save up for tires anyway, I thought maybe I would just go ahead and save up for a nice set of 17 inch rims and tires. My friend who just got a Continental likes my Gen III's and is interested in buying them since they will fit his car, so this will help me save up a little faster.

Then I want to start doing some suspension mods, but If I get my camber aligned now, and get Koni's and Eibachs later on, will I have to get it done again? If so I might just save up for those too. Also with the 17 inch wheels I can eventually get some nice big brakes :-D .

I want to be driving my SHO soon, but the added handling and looks with the wheels and suspension might be worth the wait. I don't know I'm just babbling... all this time without my SHO has made me crazy. At least I am working again and can start saving for everything, but it seems like it is taking forever for these paychecks to get here. What do you guys think? I want to do everything right, and not rush it, but the wait is killing me. :cryying:

Any suspension stuff you do you will have to get a new alignment, no matter what it is.

EDIT: Some places have deals for a lifetime of alignments(as long as you own the car) for say $100(just giving out a price) instead of paying $40 each time. It's well worth it!
