hey guys
i just installed my steeda STS, looks/performs excellent, naturally the feel got a little harder to engage. i was wondering if anyone has a fix for that, maybe lubricate the ends of the counterweight or something similar...

wat do u guys suggest?

thanks

still its a great improvement over stock, it looks more audi than wrangler now lol... definetly a good mod, now for some VF rear engine mount

btw, does the mount help the feel in any way?

today was below freezing temps and i noticed the shifter overly hard to move around. i had it parked with first engaged, i started it and as i flicked the gear into neutral, you could literally count to 3 by the time the shifter hit the center... as it was going extremely slowly.

Cold dos make ti stiff at first, but it lossens up quikly. The mount wil help out alot during hard shifts. You will LOVE IT! As far as it being harder to engage with the STS, I did not experiance that at all. Did yuou grease the ball? The linkage don't change, so the stiffer eel canonly be do to one, a shorter through = less leverage, and two, you didn't regrease it right.

p.s. I've had a few to drin, so the typing sucjks, I know.

lol thanks for the input, i did grease it liberally, used up the whole thing. i wanna get the rear engine mount but i heard it makes the steering wheel rattle or shake at idle, CFM suggested that it could be dealt with by raising the idle rpm thu a tuner...seems like some work...did u notice any of that with ure mount?

Cold makes the new lube tough, I installed mine in winter in VT(cold as heck). It will get better over time(once summer comes!). The mount helps quick shifting! E-

Some vibration, but more noticeable was the tighter overall feel of the car when driven at 7/10ths. Not bad vibe at all, now the other mounts add vibration and stiffness. The lower mount needs to be replaced at purchase I think. My factory one actually failed about 9000 miles in. Just get the inserts for $16 at c-f-m.com and do it up. Good luck! E-

Vibration will go up with the mount, thats just a fact, but it depends how stiff the mount is and how good you tune is.

on my ZX2 motor mounts + stock PCM = vibration hell, once I put in the FordRacing pcm the vibration really droped, put on SCT and it droped even more.

Personaly I LOVE the B&M I got from FR for the car(again escort not same tranny), but i have good things about the one you got.
