Shroud or no shroud???

Got this damn near for free! The filter is massive! lol At least its way bigger than the one i was using, which had a smaller i.d. than the maf.:nonono:
Anyways, Should I use the shroud? I have the shroud on now and it is a tight fit but most of the filter is exposed to the hole in the fender and the hole for the headlight. Just wondering if its worth the "fresh air" only, or just leave the gigantic filter wide open.

Use the shroud. Helps prevent pulling the heat from the motor and all the heat that comes off the headers. Don't forget that when you go to the track pull the head light to get the ram air effect.
