What's the quickest way to get at the top rear shock bolt in a vert?

Rather than dismantle the trunk liner I tried inserting my arm under the liner behind the rear seat (with the top up).
Turns out the shock nut is fairly simple to reach. I can't see it but it's easy to 'feel' and access with a ratchet extension.
There are two velcroed 'doors' in the liner just big enough for an arm. I always wondered what those were for - maybe swapping the shocks?

Anyone tried removing the shocks this way?

Appears it would be a lot less effort than dismantling the trunk liner. Would have to be careful not to drop any hardware during dis/re/assembly though.

just pull the liner out, it takes like 10 minutes.

but get the plastic dike tool, without it, its a pita.

in addition, u need a second wrench to keep the shocks from spinning, so definitely not a covert(i.e. blind) mission
