In researching different options for STB's for the cobra, I saw
this one. To me stiffeners connecting to just behind the
headlights adds very little stiffness vs. most that, mount to
the firewall. Why do we care if the headlights/front clip are
moving relative to the strut towers? What we really want to
control is the strut tower motion wrt the chassis and firewall.
Seems to me that this a way to get people to buy their CAI as
it only works with their model. IMO based on what I see, this
part is no better than a 2 pt bar.

Enlighten me if you feel otherwise. :)

Bracing the front core support is never a bad idea. The G-body cars really benefitted from this style of reinforcement. That's not to say it is better than an STB that goes to the firewall, but it certainly won't crack your winshield like some 3pt braces have done. Besides, an STB doesn't do nearly as much w/out going to coilovers.
