My car has felt like it was out of alignment for a while, had rotors and pads replaced today. Brembo rotors Porterfield R4S pads.

My mechanic friend who now works for a Pontiac dealer and no longer can put my car on a lift or mount tires did the brakes and told me that my wheel(s) need balancing.

Went to local Firestone they had to add 6 ozs of counter weights and then noticed a small hairline crack on one wheel. The other wheel was fine and didn't need rebalancing.

I will need to change my wheels over to my winter wheels/tires soon - just couldn't bring myself to do it when it's been above 50.

Can that rim be repaired? It's an 18" 2000 Cobra R.

After the balancing it no longer feels out of alignment. Only had it up to 100 MPH tonight but it felt real good.

Thanks

Dan

It can be repaired but I dont think its worth it. Better off buying another and using that one as a spare.
