I have a 88 LX that I purchased back in Dec. of last year, got it from a Marine(salute) stationed in Yuma. Well it is a project that wasnt completed so I got a good deal on it. Well to the problem, It has a 306 which I started up, with a BG Speed Demon 750, Victor Jr. heads, Victor Jr. intake, 14:1 comp. and a .649 lift 248 dur at .020 . Ive tried several size jets, and it smokes a lil bit. I dont know much about carbs, and I dont know how to adjust them. Is this carb to big? What jet size should I use? I went down to 68 primary 76 secondary. Where does the air adjust on this carbs?

Not sure but that carb sounds a lil too big. Is the Carb new?? I'm no expert either but it sounds like it's a little too big

Everything is brand new. The car from the start wasnt built right, I had to re-do the wiring, change the converter, will have to change the gearing, and now the carb. And like everything is so cheap.
