And by baby I mean my low mileage blown 01 Cobra, I did love that car but it sat in the garage and never wanted to take it anywhere because I was worried about door dings or whatever so I wanted to get something to beat the piss out of, I have already taken it out once with absolutely nothing done to it but h & r race springs and Tokico Blues.
I am going to be running a stock street class where you can do springs/struts/panhard bar/sfc's/any exhaust but must have mufflers/cobra intake and of course safety and weight reduction.

sold this

I don't recognize the venue, or the car, but having just moved here in June I've only been to events at Firebird and PIR. Where will you be racing it?

It is @ Firebird with ASA/Pro Auto Sports, the Mustang Street Class is new, this will be the 1st season. 1st race is next weekend Jan 14-16th. Getting pretty dang excited.

I was racing shifter karts and had to take a year or so off and when things finally turned around I had to give this a try. Had a blast on customer appreciation day in December when I was able to go thru the orientation and drive with an instructor.

You're gonna have so much more fun!
Well worth it in my opinion.
Absolutely, I have always wanted to do this just thought I would be able to do it w/out selling the Cobra.

Another one hooked on the HPDE/open track crack pipe.
I have been hooked just broke, horrible combo.

i dont know of any road racing in my area but i wish there was
I see there is an infield road course @ Nashville Superspeedway, you just have to find out if there is an organization running there. Try SCCA Tennessee and see where they run.

I see, that's the casino in the background. I really wanted to do the customer appreciation day (what was it, $35?!?) but I couldn't spare the time. Maybe I'll see you out there soon enough.

If you need setup stuff, let me know. I'm in Chandler with a laser bumpsteer gauge and a longacre bubble caster/camber gauge, but I don't have scales.

Hey Kartracer, how did the track day go?
It's Sam, you gave me a spin in your Cobra sometime back when you were selling.

I feel the same way sometimes, love my Cobra but she just sits in the garage.
Road racing looks like a Blast!

road racing generally requires some travel, but its there. where in TN are you?

NASA and SCCA have events at Nashville. There is a road course at Memphis Motorsports Park. Road Atlanta and Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL are reasonable distance away.

What part of Tennessee?
There is stuff at Nashville Speedway all the time.
Corvette club this weekend.
Another group 1st weekend in March.
We're there in April with SCCA.
Barber is not far in Birmingham.

BTW Rob. Dover folks shut down Memphis, I believe. We had several MidSouth folks start coming to our events.

Whoa!
News Flash
Announced Monday Moroso folks bought Memphis. It may be back soon!

Yeah, still no top coat, no support buildings.
Nothing on the calender for 2011.
I'm afraid the same thing may befall Atlanta Motorsports Park in Dawsonville,
They needed something like $12 mil to finish and they seem to be a bit short yet.
Weather isn't helping.

Hey Sam
How are you? Are you still living up here, figured I would have seen you cruisin around.
I have been out twice, unfortunately my friends are not good photographers, and it has been an absolute blast.I havent been able to stop thinking about it. They are right when they say it is like crack.
