Ok I just bought a 2013 FX2 with the 5.0 motor and I'm looking to purchase a exhaust within the next few weeks.

My first choice I was going to go with was the Roush cat backs but after hearing all the reviews of really bad drone and just being to loud in the cabin surprises me since I had a 2012 5.0 Mustang and I just loved the Roush system on it.

So now I'm thinking of going with the Solo Performance exhaust. I see that the exhaust has a 4" tubing and with all the reading on the forums it seems that the 4" is to large and the best choice would be 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" to ensure no loss of low end power is that correct ?

So can anyone that have this exhaust confirm that there is no loss of low end power, also I may just drop in a AFE dry filter in the stock cai box.

In the end I need a nice sounding exhaust that does not drone in the cabin and that will not cause and low end power loss.

Thanks and here is the Solo exhaust I'm looking at. http://solo-performance.com/ford-f15...exhaust-system

I dynoed the truck with no exhaust after the cats and it picked up 7hp over stock.
IMO the stock cat-back is not the biggest restriction in the exhaust system.

Another shop I work with tested the stock air box against the AFE CAI and the stock box/filter held boost much better up too when pushing over 20psi. IE, the stock air box is not a restriction either.
