So long story short... I planned to take it slow with this car and not mod it at all.... Then whipple had their crazy sales....and then.... I got an amazing deal on a Gen 3 Whipple. Only problem is that the blower is powder coated red.

I plan to run it as is at least for the first season (send it off to get powdered next winter) mainly because I've already bought so many other mods since bought this new car.

I tore the car apart today to send all the covers to the powder coater and I started thinking that I might just like the red blower.

I plan to black everything else out... valve covers, timing cover, pulley bridge, TB, Snout, Pulley, Cop covers (but polished accents on these) ALL black everything......

What do you guys think.. Will a red blower on a sonic blue car look ridiculous?

Congrats on the blower. Going through a blower swap myself. If it was me I would get the blower painted / powder coated before you put it on. Even if you are ok with the red color now it will bother you and you'll end up pulling it off again. Thats a lot of work.

I think you could pull it off with the same color valve covers and black coil covers. Or get the coil covers dipped in carbon fiber to match your intake. Keep a red and black/carbon theme for the engine bay, maybe spray your calipers red to tie it all together.

Personally I think it would look awesome. I thought about going red with my blower but I already have red valve covers and think it would be too much. The red will look great with the blue

I'm going to sit it on the motor this week just to get an idea. I'll post a picture of that to get some opinions..

I did find out that Jon Bond performance will disassemble, powder coat and reassemble.. So that's an option if I decide to change it up.

So I did some very poor paint crop and paste to get a general idea.

I think it looks decent with red valve covers... the black covers are a no go for sure..

I have some decisions to make.

I dunno. Reminds me of the EASY button from Staples. lol. It doesn't really flow with anything. Unless you have 10th anniversary seats maybe.
