I recently changed over to a 2.2 KB and went through a remote tuning session with Eric Brooks. Car has been running great, but as the winter months went away and it got warmer, I noticed some warm weather "rough running" for lack of a better description. So I did my seasonal oil change and decided to do plugs again (it had been ~10k). Anyway, the picture is below, and the car is running better... but the gap on these ones had been opened up to .038-.042, so I put in a fresh set of TR6's gapped to .028... but I was wondering if anything on these looks odd to anyone? None of them were wet and/or smelled like gas, but the two in the back two cylinders had that weird corrosion on the hex head... the plugs in the picture are laid out as if you are looking at the engine from the front of the car... Anyway, maybe I'm paranoid, but if anyone has any input, please share! Thanks!!!

I can't speak much for the plugs, but was the KB already on there when you bought the car? How much boost are you running? It just seems that was a big gap for the mods on your car. Heck most people with just a upper pulley gap in the .032-.036 range.

No, I just put the KB on, was on a ported eaton and the last set I gapped at 0.35, so I think I must have had a little detonation during tuning that opened em up or something, car runs good and no smoke/heating issues, so I'm not too worried.

They look worn and maybe a tad rich, but otherwise indicate a healthy engine.

Those back 2 plugs get like that on these cars pretty often. Crap, dirt, & moisture tend to make it in there due to being closest to the opening. Make sure the coil wires are traveling directly through the spot in the gasket it should and a little silicone helps too.

These 2 plugs can tend to be a bitch to get out on cars that have not been serviced recently. Scares me everytime when I have to crack out the breaker bar to remove a plug. I always make sure to use some anti sieze on these 2.

The light is a little dark so its hard to see some of them. Can you take a better pic of the one on the top left?

what boost are you running on the new KB? Im running 19lbs and using Tr6's and my tuner told me to run a .026 gap and change them every oil change or 2-3k miles to be safe. There cheap so its not a problem for me.

I'm only at 15-16lbs... I'm at 4400 feet elevation so even with the 2.76 pulley that's all I see.

Exactly what I was going to say. I did plugs 2 weeks ago and the back 2 looked like my ass.
