What would you advise on a 96 cobra? 200$ seems a lot for me to drop right now for a Time-Sert repair kit.

Are the Dorman's any good?

Helicoil Sav a Thread. It's a steel insert, not like the typical helicoil.

just had a time-sert done on my car...14psi with a S trim and race gas at 500WHP and all is well. with a bolt on car like yours its a fix it and forget it way to repair it.
