Could someone tell me the speaker sizes that are in the 03 Cobra and the sizes I could consider if I want to replace the 460 system? For example, will 6 1/2" speakers work in the doors?

Thanks!!
Jeff

6x8 or 5x7 in the front door
5 1/4 in the rear for the vert
not sure of the rear size for the coupe

I put in 2, 5 1/4 component sets, and it sounds stellar!!!

5x7 in front doors. 5.25 or 6.5 inch with an adapter.
5x7 in the rear deck for coupes.
5.25 in th rear for verts. 6.5 with some cutting of the baffles.

I put 6 1/2s in my '92 LX but had to cut trim pieces to seal the gap because the door panels stuck out farther with the Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2s. I'm not sure if the Cobras would take 6 1/2s with no mods. I would guess-no. You can fit 5 1/4s in the doors with no problems. Flemworld has a lot of info and pics on the Mach 460/1000 speakers. Here's the link: http://www.flemworld.com/Mach460/Mach.html

I have 6.5" component speakers in my 2003 Cobra. You need to make an adapter plate to make them fit.

I'd be interested in hearing more about your system. I am interested in getting a good SQ system and am looking at different component systems. I'd love to get some decent imaging.
