What's the issue with the TKO 500? The Speedcal simply scales the VSS/OSS signal to make the speedometer/odometer accurate.

I just wasn't sure because the TKO gear ratios are different than the stock T45. I was just checking

If the VSS/speedometer gearing is the same between transmissions, and you are not changing your axle ratio or tire size, you won't need the Speedcal. Even if you change your tire size, it will still be pretty close.

The transmission ratios don't affect the speed signal rate.

I have had 4.10s for a while, but the plastic spedo gear isn't cutting it. At 70mph+ it reads 10 MPH off. It causes the odometer to read incorrectly

This is what I used to correct my speedo after putting in 4.10 gears with 295/35R18 rear tires. Indicated speed is off by about 2 MPH at 100 MPH:

Steeda Motorsports Mustang Drivetrain Accesories: 392-STE-17271-D - Manual 7-Tooth 4.10 Ratio / White 23 Speedo Gear - $16.75 PLUS S & H.

"Works for me."
