speedo and odo not working

I have a 1997 GT Auto swapped to a 5 speed (before i bought it). Well neither has worked since i bought the car, wasnt a problem till now (trying to register in a different state). I was trying to find out where the wires for the speedo and odo actually connect, either behind the cluster or into the EECV. Any suggestions? Or ideas?

I don't know for sure but I think to get the speedo and odo to work you will need the manual trans harness and the computer from a manual car. Your year car has a gear driven speedo sensor that goes through the tranny harness. You may be able to flash the auto ecu to work but I'm not sure. Good luck.
