speedo calibration?

do our cars (manual transmission) require the speed calibration gear to set the speedo back to the correct speed, after changing gears/wheel sizes? or can a flash tuner/dyno tune fix that in our cars?

i thought you could only flash/dyno tune the speedo in mustangs that came with digital odometers, but i keep hearing both yes and no.

you can change the speedo gear up to a 4:10 after that you gotta get a speedcal, kinda sucks you gotta spend an extra 130 to get 4.30's

oh ok... i misread what it said on AmericanMuscle. i thought it said "...will only work on 99-04 manual transmissions and 94-98 automatic transmissions..."
