Spoiler off rear deck lid?

I've seen a couple of Cobras and GTs with a spoiler off the rear deck lid and kinda like the difference in the overall look of the body.
How does this come off and anyone have an opinion on the pros and cons?

some cobras actually came that way from the factory. i kinda like the look on the GT but not at all on the cobra. the rear spoiler on the 03'-04' cobra is the best one ford has put on a mustang. i would say don't do it but if you do then you will have some holes to fill and possibly will require some paint work. the rear of these cars is well balanced and looks great in stock form, the GT is another story.

I Like it personally without the spoiler... It just looks cleaner to me.. Now all I have to do is de-badge the thing. I can't believe that is not an option on american cars...

i tried the spoiler-less look on my car for awhile and i also did the saleen spoiler until this chick i work with came up to me and told me that i should of just left it alone out of the blue.
