Hey everyone. Just wanting to let you all know, that Spring Zing 2006 is just around the corner. The event is being held from May 18-21, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This was the home of Spring Zing 2005, and was a great success. Jim(BeyondloadedSE) and myself are the organizers of this annual event, and have a lot of cool events and prizes lined up!
May 18(Thursday): Meet & Greet at the hotel(Comfort Suites). We will pass out the CEG t-shirts, nametags & CEG lanyards, meal tickets, and any other freebies we might have. ;-) Afterwards, we'll head down the street to Buckets sports bar and grille, and have some dinner and beer!
May 19(Friday): Dyno day at Dynotech Engineering Inc. Unfortunately, all 18 spots are filled, but you'll definitely enjoy what you see on the dyno! Afterwards, we're heading to Osceola Dragway, where you can make as many 1/4 mile passes as you'd like before they close.
May 20(Saturday): Show n' Shine at Jim Bailey's Harley Davidson. Clean up your ride, and compete for awards in several different categories! Hang out with people you've talked to online, or people you've met from past meets! Afterwards, we'll head back to the hotel for the banquet. Hand in your meal ticket for an awesome dinner, and get ready to win yourself a nice door prize. We've got some awesome items lined up for raffle, so bring some extra cash, as YOU could walk away with something new for your car, at a fraction of the cost! After the banquet, we'll take our freshly washed cars out on the town for a nice cruise!
May 21(Sunday): This event hasn't been technically scheduled, but we will most likely be hitting up a gokart track of some sort. The Auto-X was cancelled due to the SCCA organizer, already having an event out of own that weekend.
Cost is $30 per person! Drag racing is $20, and to be paid at the track. Hotel rooms are $69+ tax per night, so find some roomies! And raffle tickets will go on sale for $5/each! Hope to see you there!
