Didn't get tuned because I'm waiting on a CAI and the SCT 2400 to arrive, but wanted to see what was going on with her since I bought the L with an 8# lower. Seller said it has a tune but no way was I keeping the 8. I swapped the ring to a 6# and installed a MagnaFlow catback, TR6's and the LFP idlers/bracket. Justin will be tuning it when I get the parts in.

Anyway... after about a ten minute cool down from the 40 mile drive and 102* ambient temp (talk about heatsoak!) here's the results with the above listed mods and a K&N panel filter. Seem about right?

For the temps you're in, yeah it does. It'll come up once you're tuned for it. If you're tuned for an 8lber, you're probably a little fat up top now.

That tune has too much spark!!! The other guy was running an 8 lower with 18* spark?!? Geez.

Justin is a nice guy to deal with. It could be due to the smoothing being set to 0 instead of 5 also. You can see on the subsequent run it pulled more spark from the heat.

Good luck when you get it tuned for real.

Finally got her all tuned up today. Didn't quite reach 400 rwhp, but the rwtq went over 500. :coolman: Mods are: 6# lower, Airaid CAI, MagnaFLow catback, NGK TR6's, SCT XCal2 and LFP idler set... and now tuned by Justin @ VMP.

(I have a BA2400 MAF in the garage but Justin said I didn't need it as she sits. It'll go on in the next round of mods though. A/F was a tad high, but still under 12.)

Nice.Im gonna be going back to see Justin in a couple weeks.
He's my new go-to tuner for sure. I'm taking the snake in for him to retune tomorrow. :burnout:

edit - He was tuning a GT500 vert when I got there. Dude had some visual mods on it that made it look much, MUCH better than stock. I think it was mid 500's for rwhp but I didn't hear the torque numbers.

He told me... but I can't remember. :bash: I think it was peaking around 4.8 volts. Since the barometric pressure was pretty high he doesn't believe that it'll max out even in colder weather.

yeah and i believe his dyno numbers are pretty conservative compared to others..so those are good numbers especially with heat
