Thinking of going to a live axle and I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to run a 99-04 axle in a 94-98 housing, or even a fox? Does anyone have this setup? That would be pretty cost effective as you can find earlier housings for pretty reasonable prices. This is strictly for the look of wider stance of the later rearends, I'm not looking to tuck a slick up under there.

I've searched and can't find this combo anywhere.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've got a line on a '98 rear, I just don't like the tucked look. You're probably right, 10.5's with 315's would do the trick!

And a KB as well, I see. Some guys have all the luck! The 315's do look good- nice stance too.

it will take a 3/4 spacer to make it the same as the 99 and up. but you will need the intergated stud type, i heard they weren't that strong and would prob. break them on my combo, the other way is to get a 1/2 alum spacer and add 3 inch studs, i might just get 1/4 spacers for mine, i can use the stock studs with them. plus the 315 nittos are not that wide, the hoosier 315s are wider am going to get them next time .

Yeah, that's kinda what I was trying to stay away from. I want the wider stance but I want it to be (somewhat) stout. I'm not making any power now, (stock pulley, lol) but i'm trying to lighten it up and get it ready. The 25mm spacers on an FR500 look perfect on an irs, but I'd rather not go that route. Thanks again.
