i got a SRA swap out of 98 cobra in my 03 .. it has 3.55 in it now.. but for drag racing what would you guys recommend ?

i was thinking 4.10 would be a happy medium for driving on highway and also great running down the track?

this car is most def not a Daily Driver its a weekend warrior and gona index and grude race my buddies at the track with it

i like my 4.10s better than my 3.73s for the 1/4 mile dragstrip. i was winding right at redline crossing the traps. this on a 26 tire, 450hp with a 120mph trap speed

but overall daily driving the car, i think i prefer the 3.73s because sometimes cruising on the highway at above 80mph the car seems a little too high strung with the 4.10s

best of luck with it!

Really depends on trap mph and tires size. I chose 3.73. With my 26" tire and low to mid 130s trap my shift light is flashing.

I have had the 3.55s in the solid for a couple of years.
Was on 26"ET Streets and 28 ET Drags.
Best time was 10.05@138
Recently installed 3.73s and made 2 test passes.
Off the trailer I ran 10.2@137 with an easy launch and no power shifting.
The 3.73 is more ideal with the 28s for racing.
Hope to really lean on it tonight at the track.

I ran the 3.73's for a couple of years and they worked fine. I was in the 125-128 range most of the time trap speed wise and that was 6100+ with the 3.73's in 4th going through. I switched to a 3.90 for this year to see how it goes. I have a feeling that I will either end up running 27's or raise the limiter a couple hundred rpm. Maybe both. We shall see. I will find out next Saturday if all goes well.

3:55 for me... but im making 600hp and still going
I had 4:10s in my IRS and my SRA came with 4:10s and I dont like em... shifting all day, car seems to run out of gear quickly not to mention the noise 4:10s make. 3:55s will be going in for me.
