You are suffering from CCFS, Cobra Cabin Fever Syndrome. Happens to those of us who live in the snow belt and don't want to expose our rides to snow and salt. Mine is undercover as well. Started it up this weekend just to hear her purr. CAI in box waiting for a decent day to put it on and take it for a run.

Ahh yes, my Formula sleeps during the winter. I take the cover off of it once every couple of weeks and drive it around town for a good 20 minutes. Get it heated up and through all the gear ranges, wash it and put it back under the cover.

My own personal preference is to NOT start the car up during storage: if you don't run it long enough to come to temperature, all you're doing is washing the lubrication off of the cylinder walls and putting a lot of condensation and combustion byproducts (acids) into the oil. I put mine to sleep in November with some Stabil in the tank, with the concrete floor covered with plastic, and hooked up the battery to a trickle charger to keep it from running down and freezing. When the temperature gets up above freezing and they stop spreading salt on the road, I'll take her out. Since it hasn't gotten above freezing in a month here, I'm too lazy to drive out to the storage garage (14 miles) and take a picture.

OOps,

I should have gotten a bigger dog

or like someone else said (Ray Hilton):

California Duster

or maybe an Illinois Duster would have worked!
