Steering noise

I have an '04 with 11K miles. I just started to get a nasty ratcheting noise when I turn the steering wheel. I raised the car on my hoist and pinpointed the noise at the steeing box. The box seems to move slightly when streering wheel is turned. I was able to put about a turn on each mounting bolt. Noise subsided for a couple of days and is now back.
Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Remove the sleeves that the mounting bolts go through and grind a 1/8" off them. While the are out change over to a poly bushing.

Beware that you will need an alignment after installing aluminum rack bushings to fix the toe settings:
