steering wheel noises

i was in an accident and just got my car back. there is play in the steering wheel and it clicks when it is turned. anyone have any ideas. thanks.

not sure about the click, but my steering wheel has way too much slack in it, its ridiculous....i think i need an alignment though,cars never been in an accident too.

check the k member near the power steering rack to see if it's bent and contacting the rack anywhere, also check the steering collumn knuckle or linkage.

thanks man ill check it out. i noticed that the shaft that moves under the dash is the place where it clicks. it slides on the other shaft going to the steering wheel.
