Stock carpet question

Hey All,

I noticed when getting the Cobra I bought last fall out of storage that there is no floor mat retainer clip on the drivers side. I don't have another Cobra (or any other New Edge) to check quickly. Should the stock carpet have a floor mat hook on it? I was thinking they did.

I'm wondering if the carpet has been replaced in my car. It's in perfect condition (no wear), and there is a bit of a wrinkle in it by the plastic insert under the peddles.

This is a 03 'vert if it matters.

Should have a clip for the driver side mat , but I have found many to have either been remover , or broken off .

A quick way to tell is to pull off one of the door sill moldings. The factory carpet have big white clips that clip over a metal lip to retain the edge of the carpet. I haven't seen an aftermarket offering that has those. See below photo. You can see the white clips on the outside edge of carpet.

I still have mine, but it occasionally pops out.

Thanks for that info Rich! I definitely have aftermarket carpet then. No clips under the door sill molding.

Yeah my retainer clip is broken and i only have 31k on the clock.
