Stock Cobra Performance

Quick question. What would a stock 94-95 5.0 cobra and a stock 96-98 4.6 cobra do in the quarter mile and 0-60 tests?

94-95's run about 6.5 and 96-98's run about 5.8 to 60. Open up the 32v engine and you are in the low 5's with only intake and exhaust. You'd have to do a head swap to get the 94-95's there.

94-95's run about 14.8-15.0 bone stock...no exhaust no air filter no nothing! Factory Stock!

96-98s run high 13s, low 14s stock.

So y are people so Deep in the 5.0 Engine as supposed to the 4.6... I think they need to pull out

the 5.0 is cheaper and easier to mod. you can make a 5.0 run very quick times relatively easy/cheap. a 4.6 is a different story.
