Do I need to get an aftermarket deck in my 05 GT in order to use my Kenwood 1000watt amp and 10 inch subs? Its the basic stereo wthout the shaker. I got the subs and amp from an old car I had and Im wanting to put them in my new car this summer.

no you dont need to. There are modulators out there that will convert your speaker wire connetion into a RCA. YOu would need to pick one of them up and then run and ground wire.

No, I left my stock unit in and changed all the factory speakers out with Alpine units and amp. Also added 10" sub and Alpine amp. No problem and sounds awesome !!
