GT-R was on pump gas and low boost. (for real!!!) The Viper was supercharged making 900whp and the 5th gen had a whipple making 800whp. GT-R guy turned down his boost to make it fair.

Launch: yeah. I was taking it easy as first runs ever after receiving car. Those cars have less power so I knew I didn't need full tilt. I was only like 27 lbs boost (guessing). Had traction control on "R" which cut my power in 1st big time. But I wanted to stay straight!

And one launch I didn't get on throttle enough for BOTL. I looked and rpm was only 2500 or so. I was sleeping

My opinion ZL1 driver was excellent...GT500 was solid, Viper needs a better driver...or tires?

GT-R although brutally fast.....still a company build where money was no object...impressive none the less, but still I prefer average guys building their cars not a shop built car that is for publicity...just my opinion
