Have you driven the pdk? I’ve heard it’s way different than even bmw dct.
No, but I have heard that is about as good as you can get in a street legal car, if not rowing is your taste.

I've been driving a manual so long I honestly have no clue if I could accept a DCT. Ford will have to let me test drive one.

Wife has been wanting a new car and it has to be auto. Wonder if I can sell her on one.
HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAjust dont show up in a clapped out miata when you ask for a test drive
What? PDK is porsche's name for their DCT. Its a DCT, and comparing theirs to the mclaren (720s), I think the 720s is superior. The 720s isnt even their track focused car, Its on Corsa tires (yes track tires, but no where near the performance the Cup 2 R thats on the GT2RS).The PDK is definitely better than the DCT. PDK shifts are seamless, the rev matching on downshifts is perfect and the PDK reacts instantly. If I wasn't concerned with keeping my warranty intact, I'd definitely have the DCT in my car reprogrammed to the GT4. That allegedly fixes a lot of the DCT complaints, but I've never experienced it myself.

Yup, and the VW version is called DSG.--I get that PDK is just a name. Lots of different names for a dual clutch transmission. BMW calls theirs by the obvious (for Engilsh speaking people) a DCT.
I drove a Porsche with PDK at the track, but have never driven a bmw with a DCT at the track. That said, on the street, the PDK was better behaved in my opinion. Like I said, a lot has to do with programming. To me, PDK does it better...I hope Ford takes after Porsche.
You can reprogram/tune the BMW DCT with the same program they run in their GT4 car. In stock form, the BMW will sometimes withhold a shift request--which can be annoying. BMW also added a slight disruption in the shifts under hard acceleration for a "greater sense of speed"--it makes it feel like it bangs the next gear harder. PDK programming is always at your demand and is always seamless--just as I'd want in a paddle shifted DCT.
I've never had the pleasure of riding in a McLaren, let alone drive one. I believe its transmission is superior.
With a DCT/PDK can you select any gear you want at any time and remain in that gear until you change it yourself?
For instance, can you cruise along slowly in the highest gear, floor it and bog the engine or will it downshift on its own?
Same here,...but no black. Just Twister Orange and Green in that order.I'd go Orange, Green or Black...in that order.
It's badass, it can't be released soon enough. I am so looking forward to all the low mileage 13-14's that people trade in, hitting the market so I can swoop one up. No way I would ever pay an ADM on any car and a $1200/mo car payment is not in the cards for me.

What is the correct color of the green anyways?
Nice.I want to say they call it Grabber Lime.

So you paid ~$20k for a GT350?That's a solid strategy. I did the same with my 2013 GT350. Saved $40k buying used with 14k miles.
no he paid 14,900 for a 2013 gt500. Solid deal lolSo you paid ~$20k for a GT350?
What color you guys like at this point?
