When i watch videos of the kb and eaton blowers i can significantly hear the whine of the supercharger. Why cant you hear supercharger whine on the big blowers though, like on drag cars or the ones stickin out of the hood of oldschool muscle cars? sorry for the ignorant question but ive always wondered.

thats a pretty good question.
i know when they are idling in the pits, you can hear the blower real good...
im assuming you cant hear the blower because the exhaust is simply way louder than the blower whine.

most of the time they are severely underdriven and just don't have the whine there, and when they do it is usually with open headers so you can't hear it.
