Thanks for all the replies. If I do go SC, it'll more than likely be a PD, Roush, Whipple or VMP. I was high on VMP, until I read a thread on here about them not supporting a tune after a VMP SC install.
I might do a clutch first, then look at SC's.
Or
This kind of leads me back to maybe I should look at a 13/14 GT500, that was my original plan. Then I drove that 17 with the Roush SC and thought I could just boost mine. The GT500 is ready to go though. I like the idea of putting a SC on my car, I own it and I like the 13/14 body style but with the 13/14 GT500 I get the body style and a car that's already built.

Looks like you're tuned by Lund. You can stick with Lund Racing and do not have to go to VMP for tuning if you don't want to.

Huh interesting, I have had positive experiences with VMP, they are usually regarded as one of the top tuners in America for Mustangs. Still, you had previously stated Lund for tuning and you can easily utilize them with any of the kits mentioned. Any of those 3 kits you mentioned are quality, and you will be pleased with your choice so long as you do the appropriate mods to handle your power level as well as have a reputable shop do the install.

Regarding which kit and if you should boost your car as opposed to a used GT500, that is up to you. I know many people are fans of buying performance cars used due to dollars saved, but I am always leary of this as I don't know how the car was treated. If it were me, I would rather SC my GT, which is what I did as opposed to some other new car options I was considering at the time. It really comes down to what you really want. Do you want a GT500, or do you want to SC your GT? Both cars are going to need traction mods (GT will need more), and to be fair something like some of these kits may as well be OEM for Ford lol. Pro's and Con's to both routes in my eyes.

As far as the clutch goes, there is no sense in buying one until you 100% decide on a path and power figure for hp/tq. There is no sense buying a clutch to handle 600tq, when you may end up not doing it. There are clutches utilizing different materials, different styles and rated for different power figures.
